Actually saw Peter Frampton last summer on tour in a small outdoor venue outside Cincinnati. He has some sort of debilitating disease that doesnt allow him to stand, so he sat during the whole show. He was a guitar hero in Humble Pie before the massive live album and still respected among musicians....he can still shred it. But so can alot of famous guitarists that arent in the RRHOF and really dont belong there either.
Frampton became a teen idol (long flowing curly blond hair on the album cover of Frampton Comes Alive had lots of teen age girls buy the album along with the rock and rollers) and the record company steered him into soft rock schlock with the next album and paired him in the Sgt Pepper film with the Bee Gees and those two things are what ultimately killed his career
