I was just thinking of how stuff like the 30s and 40s gave us Rosie The Riveter and all those tough dames in film noir movies, but the 50s were about pill popping miserable housewives. But again, I’m thinking in stereotypes.

There have been a number of discussions at this board over the years about stuff that snuck into movies in the 1920s and 30s and whatnot…I’m thinking of stuff like the nude swimming scene in that one Weissmuller Tarzan movie, or when you see a baby crown in Man With A Movie Camera.
