Good because I’m curious enough to want to see it even if everyone here says it sucks. I don’t watch movies at the pace I used to, so I haven’t been keeping up with anything new, but that was one I was thinking about getting to soon.

like can we not let a movie that’s over the top and actually fun get some awards for once?

Leaving “goofy” and “over the top” aside, this made me wonder what, by their own aspirations, were the “most fun” big Oscar hits. People can think things are fun to watch for all kinds of reasons, but the movies that ended up best fitting what I had in mind were It Happened One Night (1934 - 5 Oscars) and The Sting (1973 - 7 Oscars). It Happened One Night has probably become the best loved 1930s film in the last few decades. I haven’t seen The Sting in forever and don’t think it’s shown the same staying power.
