Cocteau Twins never really shifted into 90s beats or sounds to my knowledge. Guess it’s that dreamy vibe.

As for Norville’s shoegazer post, I’ve been pretty lazy about checking out any shoegazer albums that aren’t My Bloody Valentine, Ride, or Slowdive. I saw a Pitchfork list of the 50 Best Shoegaze Albums or something like that but it was the three or four most famous albums by those bands filling out the top 10 and then a bunch of shit I’d never heard of mostly. If Ride’s Going Blank Again is one of the Ten Best albums of any genre, then it must not be much of a genre! I guess I preferred shoegaze in its influence on other things like Smashing Pumpkins, then.
