Kevin Spacey’s high school picture makes him look like a 30 year old ventriloquist dummy. Friggin’ Adrian Belew looked younger than that when he sang “Elephant Talk” live on TV. I couldn’t believe Spacey was still in his 20s on WiseGuy.

I think Johnny Cash is a pretty good choice for the oldest-looking actual high schooler I’ve seen:

Bill Murray had severe acne as a teenager and that’s why his face was so pockmarked and made him look older, he had just turned 33 when Ghostbusters started filming. This is the same age Aaron Paul was in the final episode of Breaking Bad.
Few pictures exist of Caroll O’Connor when he was young. Ditto for Joe Pesci. Caroll O’Connor struck me as an ingenious choice for the TV show of In The Heat Of The Night because he looked like he could be Rod Steiger’s brother but apparently Steiger wasn’t a fan of the show, I forget what all he said about it.
Ironically, Steiger himself would have been around 41 when the 1967 film was shot, which is how old I am now. The gray hair made him look older, I guess.
I would have guessed Garcia was 24 in that picture.
John Lithgow was still in his 30s when he played that stupid reverend in Footloose.
Ridley Scott has always looked old, find me a young picture of that guy. I saw one once from some cameo he made in a film from the late 60s but it’s unavailable now.
You know who I’d REALLY like to see a picture of when he was young? KURTWOOD SMITH. I can’t find one. I swear to God that guy has ALWAYS been old!!
I don’t know why the fuck I’m so fixated on this shit. Autism and OCD, I guess. I’ve answered the same poll in various subreddits about who the oldest looking actor was to play a high schooler on screen.
