Production is so 80s and so dated that it is like a funny historical artifact listening now. That cover yeah, is pretty baffling. It seems out of character and weird for Fogerty. I guess its up to another case of fucking up the follow up to your big successful hit album with something strange and bold - in his case for no real reason. Prob could have done more songs like “Old Man Down The Road” and still be successful.
