Agreed on Big Star. They’re great of course, but I remember when I first heard them I wasn’t expecting so much of their music to be slower and more subtle acoustic songs. At the time I was thinking Power Pop as being represented by Fountains Of Wayne, New Pornographers kinda stuff, and Big Star were not that.
