Never heard of Air Disasters, no.
I’ll stick to just hearing “Bird Is The Word” in Full Metal Jacket.
I’ve heard some Sisters of Mercy and didn’t get into them at all. Maybe I’ll try again some other day but I never even finished the Bauhaus discography, and they only have five albums IIRC. I remain curious about goth rock but like shoegaze my familiarity with the very best albums the genre ever put out (in my case, Disintegration and Pornography by the Cure and the two Joy Division LPs) obnoxiously often fails to translate into me getting into second-tier acts.
Can’t name other power-pop bands? Big Star? Badfinger? Guided By Voices are power pop IMO. That song can certainly be power pop but so can Green Day’s “When I Come Around.”
I love three Hall & Oates songs – “I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do),” “Sara Smile” and “She’s Gone” – but only those three. It’s cute that they’ve survived, I guess.
