It didn’t totally work for me, and the Joe Strummer score was baffling, but there was something there. I watched Cox’s Three Businessmen a little while ago, interesting absurdist cross between a Bunuel film and My Dinner with Andre. I hope his adaptation of Dead Souls can get made.
I don’t believe that 99% of the people rating it actually watched The Hottie and the Nottie, it’s just people with Shitney Queers mindset trying to get anything with the dumb celebrity hate figure du jour at the bottom of the list. Not that I think it’s worth watching in the first place. It’s interesting to see that there’s a Bollywood movie that gets massive amounts of hate, seems like it’s a really disrespectful and horribly CGI-ed version of the Ramayana.
I watched Barb Wire when it was on the Criterion Channel, it’s fine! Stupid, obviously, but nothing to be mad about. Funny that it’s just Casablanca.
