It took me awhile to realize that the bug noises on “Grantchester Meadows” were a loop and not some sort of synth technology used to make them. I could have sworn they were elctronic at first!!!

I’ve already forgotten everything on Lumpy Gravy that wasn’t on We’re Only In It For The Money…I’m doing Cruisin’ With Ruben And The Jets right now and some of these are redoings of songs on Freak Out! Didn’t know that. I can certainly see why he rerecorded it–the clips I was listening to said “vinyl,” but it sounds like it was recorded in a little pile of dirt.
