…and…uh…I’m almost immediately tempted to deliberately like the 80s mix just out of childish spite. I mean I can immediately see why he wanted to do it, if THAT’S what the original vinyl sounded like. Yick.
It wouldn’t be the first time. The CD release of Billy Joel’s 1971 debut album Cold Spring Harbor is my favorite thing by him, and it’s a bastardization containing edits of tracks to shorten the album and new parts recorded in like 1983.
