You know what I hate? Trying to remember where you left your boat. There are exactly three in Silvar and you need all of them (the island fortress, the cave in the Waterfall Warren, and to get to the interior of Empire lands), unless the third regenerates. Otherwise if you go down the waterfalls with the third boat you’re fucked. I’m looking for the Empire Archives which apparently is in the northern lakes… but I can’t remember where I left my boat. It’s gone from the dock north of Harston. You may not need to get to the Archives, but according to the FAQ/annotated maps you still need a northern boat. I spent an hour trying to find a way up there past the guardposts that kill you if you rush them.
No Sleep ‘til Hammersmith is their best album so that’s not surprising. The sound kicks my ass compared to the better-produced studio albums. I actually haven’t heard On Parole– I thought the s/t had a different lineup, but it’s that album. I might download it (I downloaded Beetlejuice Beetlejuice off Soulseek, which is much better for movies and TV shows than torrents, with much less risk of being caught. Seriously, is there a better P2P program?). I did listen to parts of Motörhead and the production absolutely sucks, thin and wimpy. I played “White Line Fever”, not remembering whether that was the same song the Fall covered (it’s not), and let it play a bit before moving on to Bomber. It’s a pretty good album that’s a slender Greek maiden compared to the bangers before and after. There are some classics for sure but fuck, Overkill and Ace of Spades. But Hammersmith probably renders the studio ones a bit redundant.
I really dig Rock and Roll. The title track is one of my favorite (Motörhead) songs, “Eat the Rich” is class (no pun intended) and I just let it play from there.
