Like I’ve always said, you probably shouldn’t listen to me about Spielberg–I prefer Empire Of The Sun as his best film and I’m a huge defender of the 2005 War Of The Worlds, which was a financial success at the time but doesn’t seem to be one of his more well-liked films anymore.

Do you think he would have had the time on his hands to make the film “bigger scale”? He directed it back to back with Poltergeist (and I’m generally a big believer in the rumors that he really did direct that movie.)
