I remember as a little kid being told that E. T. was a shameless ripoff of all those stories where a kid’s teddy bear comes to life, but hey, none of those stories grossed $350 million in 1982 dollars at the box office did they?

I’ve actually only watched E. T. once. I don’t think it’s one of Spielberg’s best.

Uh, do you like the Aerosmith song “Hangman Jury”? I liked it at first because it seemed to be breaking up the monotony of all this slick hard rock on PV which I’m listening to now but then as I was going along I liked it less. I guess having Tyler repeat that line over and over is sort of effective.
