I just finished a storyline quest for the king: he has no further quests and I’m standing next to Captain Houghton, so I imagine I just finished a quest for him and saved it right after getting the reward. You said I needed to talk to someone in the castle; if it’s Houghton, I’ve done that already and I can just look at the quest log.
