It was a bizarrely humorous, Andy Kaufman-esque stunt to pull, considering that the Loops themselves are associated with funereal 9/11 imagery. But then again, that only happened by accident (Basinski is reportedly tired of telling the 9/11 story, anyway.) But hey, if he’s how you say he is…I didn’t know he was a gay Texan.
