Well 40 minutes of ambient mildly musical sound collage is kinda supposed to be boring right? I find his stuff more functional as background ambient music than someone like Eno who makes more engaging pieces most of the time. Watermusic is one of the ones I’d put in the “good to fall asleep to” category. A Red Score In Tile is another one of this category i’ve used to sleep to.

I’d recommend “on reflection”, “Melancholia”, and “Lamentation” as the Basinski albums that are slightly more interesting to actually listen to. All have shorter ambient pieces that are a bit more varied across the runtime.
