If it’s a new album I want, I’ll order or preorder it from the label or Bandcamp, deluxe LP preferably, then proceed to just download the thing, either from the download code or Soulseek if the code is just MP3 and mostly use that.
I’ll go to the used record store – the one I bought Tyr and Rock Island from – and pick up 15-30 $1.99 classical and jazz clearance CDs at an additional volume discount a few times a year, maybe a few full(er) price.
Everything else it’s slsk fuk teh world.
In either case I usually listen with my phone or computer rather than my turntable or CD player.
