The Flaming Lips have strangely not seemed to have much staying power into the current generation. I rarely see people bring up their classic records anymore. They dont seem to be gaining many new fans. When they played near me (which I missed because they kept cancelling and recheduling it a bunch of times) it was in a really small venue which I would have thought they were too big for.
I havent bought a CD with my own money in years because the last time I bought any CDs at all was probably in 2018.
