They’ve played Riff Raff at every concert this year! They played it alot in 2016 too, but before that they hadn’t played it since the ’70s https://www.setlist.fm/stats/songs/acdc-23d6807b.html?songid=5bd65794
It’s on their first live album, If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It). Rock ‘n’ Roll Damnation, also from Powerage, is on that album too.
Btw, re Powerage, that has “Gone Shooting” on it, which inspired the Beavis and Butthead theme music and is in Beavis and Butthead Do America.
I don’t remember that Rainbow song. I only really know the Dio stuff.
I like Derek and the Dominoes alot, including the blues songs you don’t like. Have You Ever Loved a Woman is a highlight. That album is better than anything Clapton did afterward, I like The Bluesbreakers, Disraeli Gears, and Wheels of Fire more. If his friends hadn’t stepped in and helped him get cleaned up it likely would have been his last album, although he probably would have died at 28 or 29 rather than 27.
I like the Derek and the Dominoes live album too. It doesn’t have Allman on it.
FWIW, I think of Layla as a Clapton solo album. Duane Allman was a guest, and the other guys played on the self titled Eric Clapton album that came out before Layla. They called themselves Derek and the Dominoes when they played live, before they recorded Layla.
Supposedly Rita Coolidge wrote the coda to Layla, and her then boyfriend Jim Gordon stole it from her. You probably know that Jim Gordon killed his own mother during a psychotic episode (he had undiagnosed schizophrenia) and spent the rest of his life in prison.
