I do remember the hype around the Unplugged thing with Clapton because he was going up against the (then very popular, but about to be hit with a massive backlash) “Achy Breaky Heart.”

wow, and I thought it was a sad downgrade from the 1960s “Clapton or Hendrix” when my friends dad said he and his friends used to argue about Clapton vs. Frampton…
