There’s a chance that “Space” will still turn out to be the worst, but off the top of my head, “Teso Des Bichos” (the one with the cats), “Fight Club,” “3,” “First Person Shooter,” “Jersey Devil” and “Ghost In The Machine” would have to be near the list of the worst, too.

Yes, they did do that ghost thing a lot in the first season, which is probaby the most hit-or-miss season. (Hey, stuff like “The Erlenmeyer Flask” still works…and the best “monster of the week” they ever had was the first one, Tooms!)

Season 7 is the worst season of the show and I bet that’s going to hold up as the case when and if I get around to watching it (I may stop after the first movie this time–we’ll see.) Off the top of my head, “Fight Club,” “First Person Shooter,” “Hollywood A.D.,” that overrated Vince Gilligan-scripted “X-Cops” thing that fans adore so much (God knew why?), the failed “Millennium” cross-over episode, the bit with ancient aliens in Africa (or whatever the hell it was) that officially marked the point where the mytharc collapsed, and the two-parter where you find out what happened to Mulder’s sister…and for the life of me, I don’t remember what the fucking answer was off the top of my head without looking. I’m not surprised Duchovny bolted, as I remember his performances by then getting tiresome.
