I actually remember watching the episodes right before and after the 2pt South Partk 200th/201st episods, but I don’t remember that two-parter. I think that’s almost exactly where I stopped watching it semi-regularly, none of the Wikipedia blurbs for the rest of the season or next season are familiar. I’ve seen a few since then. When everyone was talking about the “Memberberries” season I watched the first few episodes, but I wasn’t into it. Those are the most recent ones I’ve seen. That would be 2016.

The Simpsons characters probably sound bored to me because the show now suffers from poor comic timing, and from aging voice actors playing characters that are not supposed to age. That episode had alot of Moe in it, and all of his distinctive grammar, like “youse guys,” sounded labored. It’s hard to say whether I would think that if I wasn’t very familiar with the way the characters sounded in the ’90s, but not used to the current voice acting. I know that Julie Kavner as Marge gets alot of flack now.
It’s crazy that they’re paying them so much for something that just exists by inertia.
