The version I have is “T2 Extreme DVD” which is 16 minutes longer. It’s my preferred version, I for one laugh at Arnie looking like a horse in that roadside cafe scene.
I don’t have the Blu-Ray, the DVD came in a cool silver slipcase featuring an exoskeleton’s face and was embossed. There was an “Ultimate Edition” on DVD which had more special features, but I’m content with what I had.
No, I remembered the version of the Wild Bunch that I have is the director’s cut, and I’m fine with it. That movie was already front/end-loaded anyway.
I have only ever seen the extended version of Metropolis, where the stuff they added was discovered in some remote location in South America years and years after it was thought lost. The film quality of the lost stuff is miserably scratched up and obviously far lower quality than the rest of the movie and frankly I’m wondering if it was such a great idea to re-add it.
I’m also rather glad I only ever watched one version of Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
