Oh, for the record, I have heard their second album, The Bedside Drama, which I had to hear because I love Cherry Peel like a retarded kid brother, but I didn’t get into it much at all and don’t remember it.

I love three songs off of SIT (“Swamp,” “Pull Up The Roots,” and my 2006 song of the year, “This Must Be The Place”) and like the rest of it except maybe “Moon Rocks,” it is a step down production wise because Eno didn’t help out this time but oh well. It’s suprisingly good given the genre (post-disco early-80s dance-rock…hey, if friggin’ Sparks couldn’t do it…)

Apples In Stereo’s Tone Soul Evolution gets better for me with every passing year…I love walking home at night to the sad tone of “Shine A Light,” “Silver Chain,” “The Silvery Light Of The Moon” and “Find My Way,” the last one is the best Big Star #1 Record homage I’ve ever heard in my life and is my favorite Apples song.
