The short story Nightfall is one of the genre’s most famous, so the movie is notorious to SF fans. I know it’s not one of the most famous bombs of all time or anything.

And it’s a Max Ophuls movie! I assume nobody’s seen it because it’s a movie from 1939 with a bunch of topless dancers in it in scenes that can’t be cut, and then another scene that can’t be cut with a naked little boy in it. Good movie though. I saw it on Kanopy.
