you’d have to confine yourself to a liberal echo-chamber

Well, I do live in Canada. The entire country is a liberal echo chamber.
If I were judging the state of the US by the american media I’m fed I’d have no choice to assume that the majority of the country is gay and trans people because that’s what algorythms are constantly feeding me on social media. That’s obviously not true, but it makes it pretty hard to know what they heck is actually going on.

Did you know that Canadian legislation mandates that “news” content is not allowed on social media? I guess this is to combat “fake news” but I dont see how its effective at all since it just fills your feeds with totally different echo chambers and extremely skews your perspective as to whats going on and what topics are relevant.
