They theatrically re-released Song of the South in 1986. I remember seeing it. I was bored and confused by the live action parts but I liked the animation. I already knew the animated stories because we had a storybook record of them.

Everyone knows about Song of the South, so there’s no point in trying to bury it. I understand why the don’t want it on their streaming platform. They should license it to Criterion and tell them that they can only release it on physical media.
