Several of the characters in this game seem to be racially indeterminate.

I think that the transgender racing official at the beginning of Road Riot 4WD is the only thing me and my dumb little Game Genie-playing buddies made fun of in a game more than the Final Fight car guy.

The way Belger leaps around the screen is just weird, and he makes those weird shaky faces too. I found out that Capcom has reused him a few times in other stuff and that he has a first name (Horace). For some reason I’ve been tempted to go rewatch videos of the Belger fight a whole bunch of times recently. Fuckin’ OCD

I think I played the second one for a few minutes once, I know Chun Li and Guile can be spotted in the background at one point and I have no idea how Capcom got away with showing the female fighter character’s butt all the time, but I really don’t remember it too well besides that. The main reason I remember it is that it came out right at the same time as Super Mario All-Stars, the purchase of which is my happiest childhood moment. :-)

Never played the third one, didn’t it get terrible reviews? Do they even make side scrolling beat em ups like this anymore? The mid 90s seems a pretty late stage to be making such stuff anyway.
Oh yeah, I remember Final Fight Guy, I saw the cart in a grocery store once. I bet they kept Guy out because of RACISM!!!! Yeah make the white guy the hero you bigoted pricks!!
