Frogger? At least they updated the graphics rather than just slapping a background on there like Space Invaders for the SNES! The former I think I knew about, but not the latter. I also definitely forgot there was a Street Fighter Alpha 2 port for the SNES. Who bought this shit, is what I’d like to know–really? Space Invaders on SNES? Did that sell a lot of copies? I hope it outsold Dig Dug for the NES.

Side note about sales: Final Fantasy VI is the twelfth-best-selling SNES game…3.4 million copies…but 2.6 million were in Japan, predictably enough. Still, that 800,000 people outside Japan played it in 1994 is nice.

Oof, I keep forgetting Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. That’s about the point where everyone started to get sick of the MK franchise, its glory years were over. I swear to God I’m remembering this correctly. MK3 itself is probably still a moderately fun game and I know I’d still like MK2. But probably not MK1.

I’d want to play MK Mythologies: Sub-Zero to see if it’s as hilariously bad to play as AVGN made it out to be, that’s probably his second funniest episode after possibly Big Rigs and Hong Kong ‘97. That part where he kept falling off those ledges was a howler.

Speaking of AVGN, since you liked Prince Of Persia (which I’ve never played…) his most recent one was the mid-90s Nosferatu, which has little to do with any movie version (it seems to be taking place in the 1990s) and looks about four years behind the times in terms of graphics. Of course, the actual gameplay is mostly just irritating falling off platforms and stuff.
