Are there Japanese samurai movies that rip off The Dain Curse from the same year, where a rich family is haunted by ghosts?

I thought I’d read that, but now I realize that I haven’t.
I’ve seen a few jidaigeki movies that have ghosts in them, but they probably have nothing to do with American noir.
