I would recommend the album The Big Shot Chronicles! I think you would really enjoy that one in particular. I never got into anything else they did really (im sure some other non Lolita Nation albums are good in that powerpop way) but that album is so good! It’s a beautiful album with great melodies and Scott Miller has such a beautiful voice too! He reminds me of Alex Chilton’s voice in Big Star albums.

It’s just a shame for this band to get slept on and passed off when Big Shot Chronicles in particular is one of my favorite albums. But of course if anyone ever talks about them at all (which aside from on rateyourmusic they don’t) they would mention Lolita Nation instead for some reason. What a super underrated album for how good it is, sadly.
