I’m not impressed with Lolita Nation, either. Big Star Chronicles & Real Nighttime are where the pop song gold mines are.

I reviewed Wild Wood on my old site ages ago. I thought it was just OK. Weller’s entire solo career, based on the two Modern Classics 1992-2014 discs, is just OK. Listenable and sometimes engaging but pretty much the definition of Dad Rock. Better than the Style Council, who did have a handful of good singles but were mostly yuppie soul. If you don’t care for either of these tracks don’t bother with Wild Wood.
