I wasn’t bored by Waking Life, but it kinda rubbed me the wrong way. A Scanner Darkly is great, and is the SF movie adaption that scores highest on the combined vectors of being faithful to the book and not being made redundant by the book (or making the book redundant), at least as far as I can remember.
