I guess there are some things about Manhunter that work, and it’s possible that you could have made a great thriller out of the Miami Vice vibe with an R rating and a sizable budget but I didn’t like that movie when I first saw it and I don’t like it now.

F vs. J - at least watch the fight scene at the end where they go at it! It’s funny!
