the question that I suspect is hardest to answer is not why she is successful, but why nobody else is.

I cant say I have a full answer to that but I think part of it is that few of her contemporaries can keep up with her output, she’s released 9 albums in the last 5 years. that’s like King Gizzard levels of output (remind me to do a run-down on them someday). And like Billdude said, her lack of scandals cancellable opinions or distasteful behavior is probably part of it too.
