I spun a couple of Ariana’s albums and I wasn’t really into them. She has some decent hooks here and there but the slutty tween act is definitely not my vibe either.

Taylor doesnt do any melisma shit thank god. I can’t stand it when singers do that either. I like her voice quite a bit now, but she took a while to grow into it. the fake country accent is super awkward and her tiny stick-body limited her voice to being pretty thin-sounding. It’s not hard to hear why many people didnt take her seriously back then. It wasn’t until her mid-20s where she developed a more powerful and full tone to her voice.

I’d never heard of that CMT crossroads show. Looking up a clip that is an awkward pairing. I don’t like Def Leppard either. Would be interesting to see what that collaboration might be like today.
