that I personally find cult/fanbase dymanics to be really fascinating, both to explore as an outsider and to participate in directly, it’s one of my favorite things about following bands and artists. This is a big factor in why I love jam band stuff like Phish and The Grateful Dead for example.
so for me personally Taylor’s huge culty fanbase is a selling point and one of the things that makes her more interesting. What is it that resonates so powerfully with so many people? Can I find that same resonance or is it beyond my grasp? These are interesting questions to me.
